Film as a genre has always been in the forefront in reflecting the culture of a society . Its a media which has high influence among its audience . Film club in an Educational institution has a pivotal role in grooming the interest in films among students . The educational initiative BRC , Kollam district advised to establish a film club in every school with students not exceeding 50 , as members . Following the instruction , we selected around 50 students from classes 9 and 10 to join the film club. The film club started functioning on October 5,2023 inaugrated by Sr. Francini Mary, Head Mistress .Ms. Amy.Joseph and Ms. Greshma Fernandez were teachers in charge. English movie “The kid” by Charlie Chaplin and Stand and Deliver by Roman Menedez were screened for the students. Students were asked to write a film review based on the movies they watched. Three students were selected to attend the film festival conducted by BRC, kollam on October 26, 2023.We believe that this endeavour will help the students to inculcate a sense of watching films with different perspective.
